Rising Through Adversity to Innovate Paths for Better Treatment and Healing

The History & The Vision

The Phoenix Project started nearly two years ago, long before I knew the true scope of the journey ahead. What began as a personal effort to document my navigation of complex health issues, including Rhabdomyolysis and CRPS, took a sharp, unexpected turn last March when I began rigorous testing that led to a diagnosis of bilateral, stage 2 and 3 breast cancer.

By August, I was staring down a new reality: a metastasized cancer diagnosis and the daunting onset of treatment. Through it all, I did what I know how to do best: I shared. I uploaded video updates throughout my chemotherapy journey, not to sugarcoat the experience, but to document the raw reality of navigating cancer treatment, side effects, and the search for relief.

It was during this time, specifically while dealing with the debilitating mouth sores brought on by AC treatment, that my focus shifted from documenting the struggle to creating a solution. That necessity became the catalyst for my bioadhesive matrix, a project that now has a U.S. provisional patent.

When my digital home on YouTube was erroneously removed earlier this year, I realized it was time to build something independent. This website is that space. It is a repository for the stories I’ve documented, a hub for sharing what I’ve learned about navigating treatment side effects, and the platform for my future innovations. My hope is that this becomes more than just a record of my own path; it is a community for those rewriting their own stories, and a bridge to the future of better, more compassionate care."
